Frequent underground metro services connect the airport with Madrid city centre. Taxis are available from the airport and the blue airport bus departs every 15 minutes for the underground bus terminal at Plaza de Colón in central Madrid. Madrid's extensive metro and public bus systems provide an efficient and cheap way of getting around the city. Taxis are moderately priced and can be hailed in the street.
Driving directions: From the airport take the exit to the M40, direction A-3 and A-4 (Valencia & Andalucia). Take the turn off towards Vicalvaro-O'Donnell. At the roundabout, head in the direction of O'Donnell until Alcala Street. Continue down Alcala Street until Puerta del Sol and continue onto Arenal Street. Turn right at San Martin Street and drive until reaching the pedestrian street of Maestro Victoria.
